Hi I’m Laura!!
I have been growing food with my son (who is now 8) since he was 2 years old and my daughter (who is now 5) is all part of the growing crew. They absolutely love getting their hands dirty by helping me to sow seeds, make compost, collect leaves and weed. They get so excited to choose what we’re going to grow, to take care of the plants and taste what we have harvested. They’ve learnt so much about taking care of the planet by looking after the wildlife and nature. It’s been the most wonderful adventure together and one I wanted to pass onto other families. That’s why I started Young Growers Club, to inspire as many families as possible to start food growing.
The Young Growers Club is a chance for families, youth groups and schools to learn the ins and outs of growing their own food, while also understanding the importance of taking care of our planet.
Our clubs and events are a chance to learn the skills in person and enjoy gardening with a community.
Our online resources provide fun educational activities which will get you excited about growing food.
Growing food at home
A homegrown tomato, pea, strawberry, nothing beats it. But knowing where to start can be tricky. At Young Growers Clubs we’ve created a selection of resources to help. Our grow kitscome with everything you need to give food growing a try whilst our ebooks help to make food growing that little be easier by providing you with a digital guide.
Growing food with your community
Our clubs and events are a chance for young people to come together and learn about food growing and taking care of the planet. Based in Beds, Herts & Bucks our fun, educational sessions cater for children aged 3 – 8.
